Newt found its roots in the summer Festival environment of Edinburgh 2006. The music that formed from those below-ground sessions became the intense, aggressive & sometimes forlorn sound of Newt. It is Scottish in its darkness, international with its influences & universal in its appeal. The 3 members of Newt all contribute to the sound via compositions, criticism and spontaneous creation.
